Another ASEAN Heritage Site, the 1472 square-mile ( 3812 sq km ) Hkakaborazi National Park, in the eastern foothills of the Himalayas, has the highest elevation of any ecotourism site in southeast Asia. It is dominated by snow- capped Mt Hkakaborazi, at 19,296 feet ( 5881 m ), the highest peak in Southeast Asia. The Mei Kha, one of two rivers in this park. The park offers trekking and mountain climbing and is also the habitat of rare fauna, including musk deer, red panda and red goral, as well as hundreds of species of birds.

 

Visitors will also be able to observe the culture and traditional of the lisu, Rawang and other national races. The park can only be reached by made from Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin State.
